Know Your Rights Criminal Law Workshop

The Know Your Rights Criminal Law Workshop helps people better understand the rights they have when interacting with police or facing criminal charges.

The workshop focuses on rights to remain silent, refuse consent, and walk away — as well as situations when those rights are restricted or don't apply. It includes a brief presentation and time for Q&A.

The workshop is offered by BAYOU City Community Court in partnership with the University of Houston Law Center Criminal Justice Clinic. It is available quarterly at scheduled Fresh Start events.
